Now that it is warm out, all I want to do is go out and enjoy my outdoor spaces. Unfortunately I have been a little less than enthusiastic about how our decks were looking, which called for a project! (or three). One quick and cheap way I have found to put a new polish on some existing items is spray paint...
The First order of business is to decide what color of paint you want; I like to use Rust-Oleum spray paint, it comes in a variety of colors, adheres to almost any surface, and works indoors and out. I use painters tape and garbage bags to make sure that my spray paint doesn't get anywhere that I don't want it to. Also, make sure to spray paint downward, so that the paint doesn't drip under the tape into unwanted areas. I typically put two coats on, letting paint dry fully between each coat. Make sure that you are spray painting in a well ventilated area, otherwise life will get a little loopy.
Voila! An easy, inexpensive way to revamp any outdoor space! More ideas coming soon...
