I have recently moved to Nashville and have been on the search for things and places that give me all the feelings of home. This past weekend I went to the Nashville farmers market, and to my absolute delight it felt like home! Fresh fruits and veggies as far as the eye could see. I ended up stopping at the first table and buying some fresh strawberries to nosh on while I wandered the rest of the market. I picked up some lavender, rosemary and basil to plant in the garden, and then there was the holy grail of fresh Georgia peaches from @thepeachtruck. I knew these beauties wouldn’t be ripe and ready for about a week, so I had to not-so-patiently wait for them to ripen up! In the meantime I had some time to think about what the ultimate southern summer peach dessert is, and the thing that kept coming to mind was Fresh Peach Cobbler. My Mamaw used to always make her cobbler in a cast iron skillet, so I decided to keep with tradition. This recipe is easy to make, and has the whole house smelling delicious! We had friends over that night for dinner, and I would be lying if I said we have leftovers for days, we overfilled ourselves to the max, and enjoyed every bite. All of the feels of summer and home, right in one spot. The recipe is below, from my home to yours, hope you enjoy!
